Federation of Foundation Quarter Horses
Welcome to the Federation of Foundation Quarter Horses. We are pleased to announce the establishment of a nationally recognized Foundation Quarter Horse Registry that is inclusive of all Foundation Quarter Horses. We will record and recognize the show achievements of your horses in a National Points Record Database for all members of Foundation Quarter Horse groups affiliated with FFQH. The database is accessible and free of charge to be viewed by anyone as a verifiable record of your Foundation Registered Quarter Horses show accomplishments.
FFQH is open to membership by any Foundation Quarter Horse group that holds shows open to any Foundation Quarter Horse registered with FFQH (Federation of Foundation Quarter Horses), NFQHA (National Foundation Quarter Horse Association), FQHR (Foundation Quarter Horse Registry), FQHA (Foundation Quarter Horse Association) or WFQHA (World Foundation Quarter Horse Alliance) in accordance to our rules/regulations. Any Foundation Quarter Horse group that would like to have shows sanctioned by FFQH only has to include classes run in accordance to our guidelines. There is no sanctioning fee, and you can still offer classes in accordance to your current parent association. We will not set class/cattle/office fees; we just require the addition of FFQH classes for all FFQH eligible horses. In return, because of our belief in the quality and overall versatility of the Foundation Quarter Horse, we offer our services to promote all Foundation Quarter Horses through our Federation. FFQH’s goal is to offer a venue for all the valuable Foundation Quarter Horses, found within AQHA, to have a platform for recognition, registration and a verifiable performance record. We believe that owners who put their hearts into training and showing their horses in state shows should also receive recognition for their efforts and their horse’s accomplishments, to promote and enjoy this versatile segment of the American Quarter Horse industry. FFQH is inclusive of all AQHA registered horses with any National Foundation Quarter Horse group listed previously. We also recognize and offer registration to any AQHA registered horse with 75% foundation blood with no discrimination to color or lineage, as long as any Impressive lineage horse is HYPP N/N tested and verified. We know that Impressive horses are valuable members of many ranch/using horse strings and family mounts and believe that the current bias against this line is unfairly discriminatory now that we have the ability to test and verify the genetic soundness of these horses. We also believe the discrimination against dilutes is unfounded as the AQHA has also recognized these horses as valuable members of the Quarter Horse family. Therefore, FFQH welcomes and is inclusive of all Foundation Quarter Horses and their owners.
